After several tough decisions, I've decided to remove Lord of the Twilight from his position as co-webmaster of Ordon Village. I'm not going to make a bigger deal of this than needed, so I'll say that this was more or less a large difference in opinions and nothing more. With that, I'll be talking to Alkarius to determine if a replacement for Sam is entirely nessicary or not. Finally, Kenpari has rejoined staff as a Super Moderator on the forums alongside Lieutenant Lollipop. Comment on the forums |

I was able to get us Vbulletin, which is quite the relief considering this should stop all our forum problems with crashes and what not. I've also integrated it with the main site, so you can now view the latest forum posts, and log in on the site using your forum account. As I forgot to mention in my last post: We have a new affiliate; Zelda Temple. You probably all are aware of the site and probably know the webmistress Judai. Go give them a visit. |

Hey guys. Well, first to start off this news update if you didn't notice we have an Affiliates menu up now. You probably also noticed that a site named Portal to Hyrule is on that list, which means that yes, we have an affiliate now. So, please welcome Portal to Hyrule to the affiliates list. The site looks pretty good in my opinion, and has some unique features. The owner (Deku Link) is also very friendly if I may say so myself. Moving onward, I'm impressed with the forums. In just one day of being online we have: - 54 Posts
- 14 Threads
- 12 Members
- 8 Users Online (That's the record for most online)
So...I'd say that's a pretty good start. Other than those two things, there isn't much to report right now. Comment on this article at our forums |

The forums had a bit of a problem, so we had to fix them. As I said on the forums:
"Your probably all wondering what happened to the old phpbb3 forums. Well, a little bit of curiosity never hurt so I think it's fair to say that I should let you guys know what went wrong.
See...me and LoTT were planning to switch to MyBB. We had gotten it instaleld and it had a few problems so we reinstalled it. I was trying to convert the phpbb information to this one here, and the worst thing happened. The database for phpbb3 literally emptied itself of all the data in it; meaning we had to start frehs.
So in short, here we are again. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused."

Excuse the rather corny title; I was running out of ideas after exhausting my brain most of today in school and afterwords. Anyway, I figured you good people deserved an update on what exactly we're doing at Ordon Village. I'm starting to work on Synopsis pages for the series that we will be covering here on Ordon Village as a Nintendo fansite. They should be up sometime Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. With that being said, we still need some more content writers so please email /IM myself or Sam (Lord of the Twilight) so we can get you hooked up with a job. Finally, please don't go to the forums. We're having quite a few administrative side bugs so we're switching off of PHPBB3 to MyBB. That's all for now really, besides the fact that I'm awaiting a few affiliation request responses from various sites. With any luck, we'll have a few affiliates soon. |
